Q: What is MKW Hack Pack?
Fandom Apps Take your favorite fandoms with you and never miss a beat. General MKW Hack Pack bugs. It has been reported to Huili that although the pack loads fine, some people attempt to load the tracks and a blackscreen occurs.
A: MKW Hack Pack is a Custom Track Distribution made by Huili. All 244 tracks in this Custom Track Distribution are custom tracks.
The custom track selections on MKW Hack Pack serve this purpose:
To represent underrated, obscure, or unknown custom tracks by fixing them up to today's standards.
Another thing about the MKW Hack Pack is that there are a lot of edited files, Huili wants to be able to change as many files as possible by replacing original files with modified files
Q: Can I hack on the MKW Hack Pack?
A: Previously, the answer use to be no because there was no options to be able to Hack on any regions of Hack Pack because it uses it's own set of codes. However, for v6 MKW Hack Pack, there will be a Hacker Region for anyone interested in doing that. It has it's own set of codes. However, if you want to use your own gct's, my pack will reject them because of the new Wiimmfi update, which detects gcts in the pack and therefore block you from coming online.
Q: Is this CTGP?
A: No, this pack is entirely seperate from CTGP, it has its own tracks, it's own wiimmfi region and uses the riivolution channel to load.
Q: When is the next update?
A: Typically MKW Hack Pack has a release date somewhere in December.
Q:Does this pack use USB?
A:Yes it does, although expect to see slower loading times, this won't affect your race though. Any lag experienced will be the result of your connection, not what device you're using.
Q: Does the MKW Hack Pack have any known bugs?
A: Yes, and there are quite a few, here's the rundown:
General MKW Hack Pack bugs. It has been reported to Huili that although the pack loads fine, some people attempt to load the tracks and a blackscreen occurs. Another bug involves the max lap count modifier. In some cases, someone may complete a lap, only to have their wii freeze on them, either that or someone may have to do, for example, 3 laps of a 1 lap track or 3 laps of a 5 lap track because it doesn't work properly. There is also a data corruption bug, and more information about why it is caused, and how to fix it can be found here. Keep in mind these bugs don't affect everyone. Huili does not have a fix for these bugs currently but will be investigating into them.
Mkw Hack Pack Iso Builder
Countdown mode bugs. This is a known bug that can't be fixed: Playing countdown offline will not work like it does online, you have to do 8 laps of every track, and when the timer goes down to 0, the game does not end, and on vs mode, the cpu's don't stop. In this distribution, countdown mode has its own region, so that means that it is NOT over battle mode online. Speed modifers have no affect on countdown since this uses a bin file and not a gct.
Battle mode bugs. No music is being played when you're doing a battle online and the race countdown sounds are being played instead of the battle countdown sounds. There's at the most 30 seconds counting down for you on coin runners, and only 10 coins max, the more players, the less time you have. On balloon battle, you will always be tied, and the timer will always be 0. When the clock reaches 0 on any battle mode offline, the game will freeze. The live view screen shows a different track then the one that you're actually on. The following issues with battle mode are for custom tracks. Tracks on the Daisy Circuit, DS Desert Hills slot do not work offline on battle mode because some of the objects are not available in battle. Enemy routes are not working properly on offline battle mode, but they can still harm you. CPUs can either go the wrong way of a track or they can go the right way too.
Q: Why did you make MKW Hack Pack?
A: Well, there are several reasons:
The time I played Mario Kart Wii. I got MKW in 2013, very late on the scene, far from release day. I wanted to be able to contribute to the community regardless of that. So, because I know some computer programming, I like to code stuff, although nothing as fancy as MrBean or Chadderz, I still consider myself decent at it.
So many tracks available. There's probably over 1000 custom tracks in existence, as a fair ballpark estimate. However, only 218 are in CTGP, so that means there's so many others that are unrepresented. I feel that it is unfair that there are some decent tracks out there that aren't getting the spotlight, either because they're old and in need of fixing up, they're overlooked, in other words, people may have thought the tracks sucked when they really didn't, or are just known by very few people. I want to be those tracks collective 'voice' by adding them to the MKW Hack Pack.
CTGP has no ISO support. Now this is probably the most sketchiest reason for making the MKW Hack Pack. However, I feel that a lot of people are left out in the dark, stuck playing ctgp 1.02 because they don't know any other options to play new tracks instead of just old ones from previous installments of ctgp.
Q: What is Wiimmfi?

A:The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) service was an online gaming service that provided free online play in various Nintendo DS and Wii games. Nintendo discontinued the service on May 20th, 2014, primarily because the host of the service, GameSpy, was shutting down its servers. Nintendo WFC was required for online play, but the Wiimmfi Project has replicated much of its functionality and allows for continued online play in Mario Kart Wii and other games.
Wiimmfi is available for the public since May 10th, 2014 (10 days before WFC shutdown). It started with Mario Kart Wii and supports now more than 100 games.
To use Wiimmfi, the games must be patched to use the new domains and also to change some other settings.

Overview
MKW Hack Pack is a custom track distribution created by PhillyG. All 512 tracks are custom tracks.
The custom track selections on MKW Hack Pack serve this purpose: 1. To represent under rated, obscure, or unknown custom track authors by fixing up their tracks and making them fit today's standards.
Another thing about the MKW Hack Pack is that there are a lot of edited files; PhillyG wants to be able to change as many files as possible by replacing original files with modified files.

Media
vX.0 Game Features
Feature | Author | Information |
---|---|---|
1st Person | mdmwii | Game mode that puts the camera right at the vehicle instead of zooming out. |
200 km/h | Volderbeek | Makes all tracks speed default to 200 km/h. |
Cannon Speed Modifier | Ro | Lowers the speed of all cannons to ensure that players on 200 kmh don't endlessly fall through them. |
Change Characters Between Wi-Fi Races | MrBean35000vr | When in online play, the player's character, vehicle and drift mode choice may be changed between races by pressing + on the Wii Remote (or Start on the GCN Controller) when on the VR screen. This simply takes the player back to the character select menu, and then returns them to the vote when they have reselected. If the time limit expires, the currently selected options are taken. |
Countdown Mode | MrBean35000vr | Countdown Mode has been added as a replacement for battles in single player online play. However, on MKW Hack Pack, Countdown uses it's own region instead of replacing the battle region, and it also works offline. |
Crazy 6 | Star | Also known as chaotic items, or random item from item box, this code/game mode gives you any item in any position. This code is used in conjunction with Countdown exclusively. |
Custom Menu System | Chadderz | This distribution makes use of custom menus to load custom course slots. The cup selection menu is modified with two buttons featuring arrows to the left and right of the main cups. When selected, these buttons cause the current on-screen cup buttons to be replaced with other cups, including custom cups, creating a scrolling menu system. All custom tracks are stored inside custom cups. |
Custom Tracks Worldwide | XeR | This distribution is capable of searching for random players to play custom tracks with. When running the pack, simply press the Regional/Continental button (which is renamed to MKW Hack Pack) to search for custom track players. You can also join your friends who are playing HPWW, and they can join you. |
Disable Battle Button | JoshuaMK | Used on Crazy 6 Countdown, this code does not remove the battle button, but you can't select battle either. |
Double Framerate | MrBean35000vr | Made by tricking the game into thinking it's meant to run at 120fps while outputting 60. The game and almost all elements within it move twice as fast as normal! |
Draggable Blue Shells | MrBean35000vr | Blue Shells can now be held behind you like Red and Green Shells. They will explode on contact, but not hurt the player. They can be used to protect against other items being shot from behind, but if wheelie-bumped while holding a blue shell behind you it will fall away and disappear. Only one Blue Shell can exist at once, so even when it is held out behind you it will be impossible for anyone else to get one from an item box. |
Drift Threshold Modifier | Superstarrio | Also known as Can Always Drift. No matter how slow you go, you can drift. Used in 200 kmh. |
Exception Handler | Star, Riidefi | This code will display exception information on the television screen when an exception occurs. After the console is finished scrolling, you will be returned to the Wii System Menu. |
Fix the mushroom-only-bug online | Leseratte | There is a weird 'bug' in the game causing everyone to only get mushrooms after the 18th item online. The quotations for 'bug' are there because it's a feature that Nintendo put into the game. Leseratte developed this code feature so that the item limit for mushrooms would be removed, even if you get more than 40 item boxes online. |
Green Shell Speed Modifier | Davidevgen | Used on Crazy 6 Countdown and 200 kmh game modes, this code makes the green shell go up to speeds of 340 kmh |
Invisible Racing | Hamster, JoshuaMK | Characters, vehicles, items, boxes, enemies, and other things are invisible. |
Item Rain | MrBean35000vr, Chadderz | Item Rain is a custom game mode created by MrBean35000vr and Chadderz. In this mode items fall randomly from the sky to disrupt the players during a race or battle. |
Kill Lakitu | JoshuaMK | Lakitu is now invisible. Used in Invisible Racing game mode |
Load File From SD Card | Bushing, Segher | Used for time trial support, this code loads the contents of a file located on the SD card into RAM. |
Max Lap Count Modifier | Geeh and MrEvil | A track can have between 1 and 8 laps. |
Mega Mushroom Flips Trucks | JoshuaMK | Instead of being bonked by a truck, this code flips trucks over just like a star or bullet bill would. |
Minimap Colors | Wine, AC, and Pepo 2000 | Minimaps can now have colors. This affects every track in the pack. |
Mission Mode | MrBean35000vr | Mission Mode is an unused, incomplete game mode present in Mario Kart Wii. It seems to have been intended to function very similarly to Mario Kart DS's Mission Mode, but was ultimately cancelled before completion and hidden away. It is likely that Competition/Tournament Mode, which shares many similarities with Mission Mode, became its replacement. The leftover code and screens of Mission Mode were discovered by MrBean35000vr on August 3rd, 2017, over 9 years after Mario Kart Wii's release date. |
Nerf Weight Online | JoshuaMK | Everyone shares the same weight class online to prevent overpowered bumping. |
Never Burn Out | JoshuaMK | Whenever you start your engines too soon, this code will make it so that you start normally as if you didn't use your start up boost at all. |
No Bullet Bill Icon | Anarion | When you use a bullet bill, the icon disappears, so you can get an item while you're in a bullet bill. Also included in this nerf is the disabling of wheelie bumping, which is reduced to more of a tap. |
No HUD | Bully | Short for Heads Up Display. This code disables everything on screen: Minimap, lap, time, item roulette, etc. |
No Thundercloud | Vega | You will never get a thundercloud from an item box. |
Race Count Modifier | JoshuaMK | Extends the amount of tracks per grand prix. Values include 4, 8, 16. 32. 64, and so on. |
Rotating Bananas | ???? | Triple bananas, not single bananas, circle around you instead of standing still behind you. |
Speed Modifier! | MrBean35000vr | Tracks have a speed modifier applied (e.g. 2× speed) which causes all parts of the game's physics to move at the increased speed (including vehicles, items and boosts). |
Speedometer | Vega | Located in the lower right left corner of the screen. This only works in single player modes. Units is KM/H (kilometers per hour). |
Turning Sharpness Modifier | JoshuaMK | This is the first code that edits the handling AND drifting of ALL vehicles. This code also gets rid of the ballerina issue of other float modifiers, meaning you can turn infinitely sharp without becoming a spinning top. |
Unbeancorner | JoshuaMK | Not to be confused with the program, this code patches automatically any tracks that have Bean Corners on them. |
Ultra UnCut | MrBean35000vr, Chadderz | Ultra UnCut is a Cheat Code from MrBean35000vr and Chadderz which fixes the start line bug that causes many Ultra Shortcuts. |
Wi-Fi Time Limit Expansion | Chadderz | This distribution makes a modification to the race time limit on Wi-Fi. It has been expanded from 5 minutes to 5:40, allowing longer tracks to be entered and played through to completion. The game has another hard limit of 5:56 before it disconnects everyone, so it is impractical to increase the time beyond 5:40, as the time advances even when looking at leaderboards. If 5:40 is reached, the pack forces you past the leaderboards quickly to avoid disconnection. |
Wi-Fi Timer | Chadderz | The countdown timer on the Wi-Fi voting screen is always shown now, rather than just when you're about to run out of time. This can give you a better idea of how long you have to make a decision when voting. The time allocated is 30 seconds. |
Wiimmfi | Wiimm, Leseratte | Support to play on a custom MKW server has been added as a replacement to Nintendo WFC. For more details see Wiimmfi Project. |
Worldwide Button Disabled | Chadderz | When you log onto Wiimmfi, you will not see the Worldwide button at all. |
